GOALS & VISION FOR MINISTRY

 

     We have determined that the following list best describes our Ministry needs coupled with goals and vision for our church and our community.

 

Our strengths are:

• Praying church

• Friendly church

• Open door to all faiths that attend

• Experienced in life (mature)

• Community minded (events, family support, etc.)

• Faithful with resources (people and money)

 

Our needs are:

• Effective Bible based preaching

• Christian education appealing to young adults and children

• Church growth, especially young adults and youth

• Restoration of members that have drifted away

• Flexibility in worship services

• Explore and expand missions support

• Contacts and visitation with members and visitors

• Understanding and knowledge about cults

• Understanding tithing

 

Our Vision:

• Take our community for Christ

• Winning souls for our Lord that attend our church and disciple them

• Help members lead a more Christ centered life

• To strive for unity in our fellowship and our Christian community

 

     Programs that change people's lives forever making them more Christ centered would be accepted by our congregation but not programs for programs sake.  A realization about our rural community ethos is improtant in understanding the members of our church.

 

     The financial capabilities of our church relies heavily on the provisional blessings of the Lord.  While we pray for those blessings, the abundance has been quite variable lately.  That variability influences our ability to support a pastor, missions, and other programs of the church.  A pastor with various hobbies or other skills to aid in his support would certainly be welcomed.
